FOR THE WRECKAGE SITE OF THAT PLANE. THIS PARTICULAR PLANE DOES NOT HAVE A BLACK BOX RECORDER. AND A MAN POSTING BOND AFTER A DISTURBING DISCOVERY IN A GAS STATION. A BABY FOUND DEAD IN A BOX. THE POLICE ARE TRYING FIGURE OUT HOW IT ENDED UP HERE? THE GUY HAD POSTED BOND. HE'S IN THE PROCESS OF BEING PROCESSED AND THEN HE WILL BE ABLE TO LEAVE JAIL. HE WAS ARRESTED BECAUSE HE OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE. POLICE BELIEVE HE WAS NOT FORTH COMING ABOUT WHAT HE KNOWS. HE HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF TRANSPORTING THE BABY WHO DIED AT THE HOSPITAL AT THREE WEEKS OLD TO THE CREITORIUM. THE LIFELESS BABY FOUND IN A DUMP BOX. HE DIED IN THE HOSPITAL AT THREE WEEKS OLD. POLICE SAY THIS MAN DOES KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT HOW THE BABY ENDED UP DUMPED. HIS NAME IS JARRION HOOD SON OF THE OWNER OF THE MORTUARY. HE WAS SUPPOSED TO TRANSPORT THE BABY FROM THE HOSPITAL TO BE CREMATED. AND A LAWYER FOR THE MORTUARY SAID THE TRANSPORT VAN WAS BROKEN INTO AND LONG WITH ELECTRONICS AND WALLET THEY STOLE THE BABY, TOO. THEY PROBABLY DISCOVERED IT AND HANDLED IT IN A HORRIBLE WAY. THE TINY BABY ENDED UP HERE, THE REASON WHY IS STILL UNCLEAR. THEY ARE NOT SURE ABOUT HOOD'S STORY. HE WAS ARRESTED FOR OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE AFTER HOURS OF QUESTIONING. HOOD POSTED BOND AND COULD BE LEAVING ANY MOMENT HERE FROM TGK, THE JAIL IN WEST MIAMI-DADE. THE MORTAUR IS SENDING OUT ASSISTANCE TO THE FAMILY OF THE BABY.

Police are investigating the death of a baby that was found inside a box left outside a North Miami gas station.

North Miami police were called about 6 a.m. to a U-Gas station on Northwest 119th Street.

Jose Rosario, who works at the gas station, told Local 10 News a man went to the dumpster to grab a milk crate on which to sit. When he opened it, he found the dead baby inside.

The baby's remains were found inside a small cardboard box. Police spent hours taking photographs of the baby and the scene.

Police said the infant was less than a month old.

A blanket wrapped around the body prevented investigators from determining the baby's sex. Police also didn't know how the baby died.

"I cannot even answer that, " Maj. Neal Cuevas told Local 10 News. "It is too early in the investigation to know."

Early into the investigation a man, identified by North Miami police as Jarren Hood, approached the crime scene, telling police he worked at a nearby funeral home. He claimed one of their cars had been broken into, hinting that the baby may have been inside.
